In this study relation between sight-reading ability in piano and harmony lesson success of the candidate music teachers who taking piano lesson has been investigated. Senior students who was taken and passed from harmony class in previous semesters was consisted the work group. Mean level of the harmony lesson grades was calculated obtained from student information system and these average points have been separated three groups according to the point range in information system. Besides 9 students has been selected randomly within the work group students who represent the 3 sub-groups through 3 students per groups. A sight reading piano piece written by the researchers has been applied by these selected students. Data obtained from the groups has been analysed by the help of the Pearson correlation measurement. Kurtosis and skewness coefficients has been calculated for determining the normality distribution before correlation measurement. Measurement result showed that data is supplying the normality hypothesis. Results obtained from the study showed that there is directly proportional relation between harmony success and piano sight-reading success.
