In this study, it is aimed to examine the effect of the application on attention strategies in the context of elaboration strategy and classical expression comparison. In the study, the explanation of the subject to the experimental and control groups which are used attention strategies and stimulatory signals, were explained in different ways (one is classical and the other is elaboration) and comparisons were made. Two different application groups were chosen among the students of Ordu Penpe İzzet Şahin Fine Arts High School. The same topic was explained in two different ways to the two application groups whose equivalence was achieved with the success grades of piano lesson and the direct effect of attention strategies was measured. The results obtained from the application were statistically processed and the test for the normal distribution assumption was performed before the application. Mann Whitney U test was preferred because of non-normal distribution of data. When the results were examined, it was observed that the second application group learning the subject with the elaboration strategy was partially more successful than the other group.
