In this research named “Analyses of J.Brahms’ Part of “Allegro” of “Op. 108 No:3 Re Minor Violin-Piano Sonata” From the Standpoint of Musical Expression Slurs” , the aim is to expound the informantion that was obtained by appointing “Musical Expression Slurs” of the first and fast part, “Allegro” of J.Brahms’s sonata which has a major importance in chamber music and violin teaching and is thought to be a good example to work on in violin teaching because of the fact that it prompts the teacher and the student to think and find solutions with its melodic and rhythmic structure.
“Musical Expression Slurs”, which was studied out from the work, was identified by the analysis and expounded in accordance with the information obtained from literature research. Analysis was performed on “Edition Peters”. The work’s fast part, “Allegro”, was studied.
It is hoped that the information obtained by this research can be a good source that can provide a new point of view for students and researchers who study “Op. 108 No:3 Re Minor Violin-Piano Sonata” about Romantic era’s musical characteristics, J.Brahms’ conception of music and its characteristics, how to think while performing this work and to which information to focus and to give priority, and for teachers about which steps to follow and teach.
