The most important step in academic research is to conduct a literature review – field research on the research topic. Because it is necessary for researchers to examine the research in the literature on the subject in the context of their study subjects, in order to provide guidance in terms of research subjects. In this context, within the scope of the research; it is aimed to conduct a bibliographic analysis of postgraduate theses and articles published on double bass around the world in the period between 2016 and 2021. On this basis, in order to guide researchers regarding the research and the subject; graduate theses and articles included in the YÖK National Thesis Center, Google Scholar (Google Scholar) and ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global were examined. Within the scope of the research; During the period between 2016 and 2021, 94 postgraduate theses and articles published on the double bass worldwide were examinedIn the process of classifying the examined postgraduate theses and articles; Bibliographic analysis is possible based on the principles of “year of publication”, “author’s surname”, “type of publication” and “country of publication”. In line with the findings obtained from the research, it is determined that the most postgraduate theses and articles were published in 2018, based on the bibliographic analysis based on the year of publication. Based on the type of publication, the most postgraduate theses and on the published country, postgraduate theses and articles are mostly published in the United States. Araştırma ile Türkiye’s; the fact that it ranks second in the world in terms of the number of postgraduate theses and articles published on the double bass represents an important point in terms of music education and double bass education in Türkiye.
