The subject of this research is Nevzat Akoral’s Works as an Ethnographic Transmission Tool. Nevzat Akoral, who started his art education in village institutes, was influenced by the values, daily life, regional characteristics and ethnography of the society he lived in. Akoral, starting from the 1950s, meticulously and sensitively observed Anatolian Ethnography, using his own plastic narrative language, as a theme in both printmaking and paintings. The aim of the research is to introduce the paintings of Nevzat Akoral, who thematically addressed Anatolian ethnography in his paintings, by examining them in terms of essence and form. This research is important in terms of determining Nevzat Akoral’s place in Contemporary Turkish Painting and in terms of these works, in which he conveyed Anatolian Ethnography using his own plastic narrative language, providing data for future generations. The research was designed in the screening model. Work analyses were included within the scope of the research. This research is limited to the plastic analysis of eight works made by Nevzat Akoral using printmaking and painting techniques. Nevzat Akoral has given his narratives originating from Anatolian rural people and ethnography with his own plastic narrative language; with a contemporary structured composition approach formed by plain and symbolized objective forms. Akoral is an artist who has determined his place in Contemporary Turkish Painting with these unique artistic narratives.
