Abstract

Reproduction, which is based on the repetition of a previously made work, has evolved and become differentiated within art. The process of experiencing and transfer that follows the desire and curiosity to learn what is good in a work and what makes it appear flawless has changed in contemporary art and in the present day. Conducted with 8 students in a master's program with thesis at Marmara University in order to determine the effects of contemporary art teaching through reproduced works on students' practical work, this study was carried out according to the action research model of the qualitative research method. Ten practical works (one student produced three practical works) were evaluated by 3 experts, and it was concluded that the use of reproduced works in the teaching of contemporary art has positive effects.
