Abstract

This article, for the education of the children with Down syndrome, includes the importance of music and the easy ways of teaching how to play the rhythm instruments to the children with Down syndrome. It is known that the children and the adults with Down syndrome are very sensitive. Their constructive and positive reactions to music, rhythm, and dance show that music, rhythm, and dance have a positive effect on them. Also, music is one of the most effective ways of communicating with the children with Down syndrome. The importance of music and rhythm instruments occurs with the ease of training them with the practical symbols while teaching the rhythm instruments. This study mentions the ways of providing a more pleasant environment by changing playing an instrument into a game by adopting some symbols in order to make the rhythm instruments taught to the children with Down syndrome more compatible while being played together. Thus, it brings about a change in the learning styles of the children with Down syndrome.
